Overnight Jewish Summer Camp Scholarship Program

The North Louisiana Jewish Federation is pleased to offer a Scholarship Program designed to promote attendance at overnight Jewish camp and Israel programs, which have been proven to support Jewish identity and continuity. The scholarships are made available through the generosity of several funds, including the Gilbert Fund and the Betsy and Michael Levy Fund for Henry S. Jacobs Camp.

The scholarship program is need-blind and is available to qualifying Jewish individuals between the ages of 6 and 18 who live in the area served by the Federation.

The student’s family should:

Applicants must be campers at a recognized Jewish overnight camp or first-time visitors to Israel with a recognized youth program. For a camp/program to qualify it must be an approved camp by the Foundation for Jewish Camp.

How to Apply

Once your camper is accepted by an approved Jewish Overnight Summer Camp, please complete the online application. Completed applications must be submitted by March 1st. Late applications will be accepted, but once available funds are all awarded, there will be no more scholarships available for that year.

Past awards do not guarantee future awards. Award values change each year with the change of available dollars for scholarships. 

Please note that the NLJF makes every effort to provide scholarships to qualified applicants but reserves the right to decline any application and has no obligation to and cannot award scholarships in excess of available funds committed for this purpose.
